Lillian's Baptism

Today was Lillian's baptism. It was so nice of my family to make the trip all the way here to see her. It was also so very nice of Colleen to host everyone afterwards. Thanks to all! The baptismal gown that Lillian is wearing is 107 years old. It was made for my grandmother's mother. All of my family members on my mom's side were baptized in it. It was so tiny and delicate that we couldn't even button it up in back! We also had a blanket that Pat was baptized with as well as one that my dad's side of the family used as well. So many heirlooms!

When we went up to have the actual baptism, Lillian did all right. But, as soon as she was done, she started crying! All the poor other babies will be hearing Lillian's cries in their baptism videos. We can't blame her though. It was nap time and feeding time during the ceremony. Oh well.

The cake was made by my mother. Just another one of her culinary masterpieces. Wait til you see her 1st birthday cake! Enjoy the pictures!

What a beautiful little family! When Anne was dedicated she was perfectly quiet, and when it was over she yawned for everyone to see. I guess standing in front of the crowd is hard work!

What, Father Charlie didn't baptize your baby?!?
