Baby's 1st Thanksgiving

We packed up the family and headed down to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving this year. It was definitely a fun filled weekend! Before heading to O-town we swung through Green Bay. This of course isn't exactly on the way but Lillian hadn't seen her Didi or Great-Grandpa (my grandparents) for a few months and wouldn't see them at Thanksgiving. It was so fun to visit with them. They live in a teeny tiny town called Suring. There are about 4 houses, a church, and plenty of peace and quiet. After leaving there, we headed to Oconomowoc to stay at my mom's house. This is where I pretty much got a baby vacation as Grandma Tinks took over (including diapers-thanks!)

On Thanksgiving day, we went over to Gigi and Opa's house (my grandparents on my mom's side). As a gift for my grandma for FINALLY retiring, our entire family spent the day cleaning, painting, tearing out carpet to get them ready for new floors and a new look in their house. We did have turkey too (but just on paper plates in our laps). It was a lot of hard work but so nice to see everyone and help the 2 people we love so much! Lillian really enjoyed playing with all of her second cousins. She finally got to meet Collin (my cousin Angie's son who is 2 months younger than Lillian). What a cutie!

On Friday, Lillian got to see her buddy Grant and then on Saturday saw her other buddy Finn and his big sister Ella. Friday evening we went over to my Aunt Tammy's new house and spent some time with my dad's side of the family. Lillian got to hang with her papa for a while which was nice. I do wish I could see everyone more often!

Saturday night my mom wanted to babysit so Pat and I could have a date night. Well, really she just wanted to get rid of us so she could have Lillian all to herself. ;) They put up my mom's little Christmas tree and her bath was all done when we got back. We got started on our Christmas shopping and then had a late dinner. So romantic (ha!) We spent most of the night talking about Lillian. I enjoyed getting her a few Christmas presents (which will be from Santa, of course!) Holidays seem so much more exciting with a little one now!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!!
