"Hi, hi, hi!"

After mass on Sunday I discovered that Lillian is a very social baby. She does talk a lot at home but I am noticing more and more her willingness to just keep on chatting in public places too. She was starting up conversations with everyone within ear shot of her (especially the kids and babies). We're the people who have to take their kid to the back because she won't be quiet during all the quiet parts of the service. "Shhhhh" is not quite in her vocabulary yet.

Here's what is:

Mama (she can say it knowing what it means (!) and can point to me or Pat when someone asks, "Where's Mommy/Daddy?") Also, she can identify your nose (and mouth and eyes sometimes)
Dada
Papa (My dad was pumped about this!)
Pretty
Uh-oh
Yeah
Go
Hi (definitely her favorite word)
Bye

We're finding that she will pretty much repeat anything you ask her to say as long as she is able. The other new trick lately is asking her how old she is going to be. She sticks up her pointer finger to show us one and she looks so proud. It is adorable!

She gets most places by crawling backwards or scooting on her butt. She is still not crawling forward so we've changed our efforts to walking. She stands very well. She has been rocking a bit on her feet to start to get the feel for lifting them off the ground. She is extremely nervous about taking this step though. When we try to get her to stand all alone she panics and cries! She does not have a lot of confidence. She'll probably be a late walker out of fear.
