Weekend with Papa

Lillian's papa, my dad, came to visit us this weekend. We had a ton of fun!

On Friday night, we took my dad to his first-ever hockey game. Pat's cousin, Jack, plays for the Hill-Murray high school team and the team made it to sectionals. The game on Friday determined if he would go to State or not. Let's just say 2 overtimes later and it was confirmed he would! It was probably one of the best games I have ever been to and it was awesome my dad got to see a good one. The game didn't start until 9pm but we decided to bring Lillian anyway. She was out by the 3rd period but she did really well.

On Saturday, we hit up the Mall of America and the Science Museum. Again, Lillian was a champ! She even did great through the Omnitheatre movie. This is just like Imax for all you WI people. It was good to know that we could take her to a bunch of different places with no crib for a nap and be gone for 10 hours with little fuss. After MOA and the museum we took my dad to Shamrocks for a "Nookie" burger. Best burger there is if you ask me! We made it home by about 9 pm, watched a movie, and then went to bed.

It was so nice of him to come and hang for the weekend and we look forward to another visit this summer! Thanks for all the fun and all the presents, Papa!!!

I just clicked on your picture to make it bigger to show Annie, and I saw that you have the talking/singing puppy at your house, too. He is, uh, NOT a favorite of mine, and Annie figured out that I turn it off in the back, so she'll bring it to me and say "On? On?" Darn smart kid!
