Tonight after finishing her dinner, Lillian held up her hands and said, "All done!" clear as day. Her vocabulary keeps expanding with other new words such as, "arm" and "up." Her babysitter swears she says, "love you" too. We have been doing just a little bit of baby sign language and she can now sign for more and please and has been attempting to do thank-you. I love how social she has become. She still gets extremely frustrated when we can't understand her and she lets us know her frustration level by the different octaves of blood-curdling screams she has. When she hears "no!" she sometimes gets mad and throws a temper tantrum! Our new plan has been to hold her for 15 seconds (while she kicks and screams) and to then stand by the place we said "no" so that she doesn't do it again. The other night she went over to the place (the garbage can) and pointed and shook her head no. What a smarty pants! Hopefully she will continue to remember what not to do and also learn to be a little less hysterical when she hears no!
In other news, she is cruising and climbing like crazy. Her push toy has been her new best friend because she can walk all over the place with it. I think it'll still be a while before she walks on her own, but she is definitely building her confidence. She has two new teeth coming in right now bringing the total to 8 teeth. We completely weaned her off the bottle about 3 weeks ago as well. She is getting to be a real, full-fledged, toddler! I can't believe she was just shy of 2 months old a year ago right now! Time is really flying.
