Grandpa Jim

On March 22, 2011 "Grandpa" Jim Thuente passed away after enduring a several year long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Despite having been diagnosed with FTD since before Lillian was even born, Jim and Lillian always shared a special relationship. Lillian was always comfortable and willing to communicate with him even when he was unable to speak. She always spoke up for him and wanted to hold his hand and help him when we visited him every Monday evening in Rogers. She prays for him every night and talks about him constantly. Her questions and comments have made us laugh and made us cry. I don't think most children age 3 have such a profound knowledge of God and Heaven. Her questions never cease to amaze us. She will definitely keep his memory alive for all her future siblings and cousins who will sadly never have the privilege of knowing him as their Grandpa.
