This past weekend we packed up the family and headed to the Kalahari resort in Wisconsin Dells. We had made a bid on this weekend trip at a benefit a few months back. It was a condo that slept 12 people and had its own kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms. Not a bad deal for 50 bucks a person! We invited some of my family to meet us there since it is only a 1.5 hour drive from Oconomowoc. So, Grandma Tinks and Grandpa Elmo, my grandparents, Brett (my step-brother), Heidi & her family, and Maggie came for the weekend. We had a fantastic time! The best part was spending the day in the waterpark and having the cabana that my mom rented for the day. Nothing better than tipping a few back, swimming around, and taking a nice nap on the comfy couches (rather than the uncomfortable beach chairs). Lillian really enjoyed splashing around. She is such a water baby! If you are looking for a little getaway, I'd definitely recommend it (especially since it has been so cold and snowy). It was nice to have it feel like summer again, even if only for the day.
