SURPRISE!!!

Grandma Tinks turned 50 last week and she thought we were going to let this milestone just pass on by. Wrong! We threw her off for a few weeks letting her think we'd be going up to the cabin and instead we hopped in the car and drove down to Oconomowoc to throw her a surprise party. We spent the night on Thursday with some friends and their baby, Grant. Lillian enjoyed splashing around with him in the tub and we went to the WI State Fair together on Friday. Lots of fun! Lillian is getting really good at her animal names and sounds. We did a lot of mooing and clucking. Friday night was the party. My mom got home from dinner and about 30 of her friends and family were waiting in the garage to scream SURPRISE at her. She was definitely surprised! She really wanted to go to the Milwaukee County Zoo with Lillian for her birthday so that is what we did on Saturday. Afterwards, we headed out to see my dad who was going to be throwing a surprise party on Sunday. This time a 50th surprise anniversary party for my great aunt and uncle who were visiting from Colorado. Another good time was had. My step-mom is the BEST cook and we definitely got our fill. Luckily for me, I made it to bed before 2 am (unlike my mom's party). We got back home on Monday and are now repacked and ready for the Starke Family Reunion up in Door County (Washington Island) tomorrow. It is nice being able to jet here are there in the summer. These days are winding down!
