Lillian's Checkup

On Friday we went to see Dr. Balfanz to have Lillian's 2 month checkup. She did great! She had to have a couple of vaccinations and did not cry too much at all. The doctor did a shot in each leg and as soon as it was over she settled right back down and stared out the window. She currently weights 11 lbs. 6 oz. which puts her at the 85th percentile for weight. Her height was 23 inches which puts her at the 90th percentile for height. So that means she has grown 2.5 inches and has put on 4lbs. 4 oz since birth! Dr. Balfanz says that he cannot make estimations about height until a child is about 2 years old but considering she is taller than 9 out of 10 girls her age and has a tall daddy, we might just have a tall girl! She is growing just right and doing all of the things she is supposed to for a 2 month old. By her next checkup (at 4 months) she should be reaching and grabbing onto things. We might also be starting her on cereal around that time as well.
